what's the difference?

Most edibles have the words
full spectrum on the label, but what does it actually mean?
Well, first, about what it should mean, and then about what it often really means.
Full Spectrum Cannabis extract is a solvent washed oil, purged out of plant material, usually trim but even stems. The chemical solvents are boiled off leaving a viscous sappy material that is used in edibles and vape cartridges.
As Cannabis plants generally have very small percentages of what are called
minor cannabinoids like CBG and CBN, so called full spectrum often reveals itself as actually being isolate soup and not full spectrum extracted from a plant, with quantities of these minor cannabinoids which do not occur naturally. Typically for every 10mg THC there should not be more than 0.9mg of any minor cannabinoid.
So why Coconut Oil?
Natural plant oils like coconut and olive oil are the traditional means of both absorbing and delivering medicinal compounds, for good reasons, including safety and results.

Aside from the very real content of toxic solvents in any full spectrum, which merely meet a necessary compliance level but are never removed, the primary difference between full spectrum solvent processed cannabis oils and coconut oil infused with cannabinoids is absorption, and how cannabinoids are delivered to the body.
Because of the way our gut linings work, Coconut Oil Cannabis concentrates are delivered both significantly faster and in greater quantity than raw plant oils.
Cannabinoids bonded with a natural plant fat such as coconut oil are able to permeate the gut lining far more efficiently than raw cannabinoids. While both options can provide an entourage effect of bonded cannabinoids, your digestive system cannot easily process cannabinoids without a fat carrier.

And why avoid those isolated cannabinoids in the so-called
Full Spectrum?
Two words: Cannabis Hyperemesis.
A literal allergic reaction to cannabis typically resulting in chronic nausea. While the causes are not completely understood, it has been proven that ingested cannabinoid isolate is a cause, usually daily in the form of gummies. Abstaining from consumption improves it.
